Introduction

Having personally been greatly influenced by the BIBLE, or should I correctly say its religious interpretations, my writing cannot help but somehow reflect that effect. Also, the amazingly detailed complexities of J. R. R. Tolkien's Legendarium have shaped my interests. His mythologies of his Middle Earth and other fantasy and science fiction works (like Babylon 5, Star Trek, and Planet of the Apes of course). This epic volume of work I am releasing to the public is an outgrowth of those interests and personal experiences and gave rise to an effort to diligently craft something wholly unique, interesting, and of worth. Struggling to work through bipolar depression's anxiety, partly derived from being reared in a negatively charged, highly controlling religious group during my formative years; this work has helped tremendously in finding that emotional expression.

This collection of short stories can almost be stand-alone tales shared around a campfire, or during the brevity of waiting in the doctor's office, and yet one will instantly feel there is far more behind the curtain waiting to be explored. The epically sprawling accounts recorded here take place long before the infamous Biblical Deluge of Noah, as they were also inspired by the even older Sumerian flood texts. That prehistoric epoch has long been referred to as the Antediluvian period, one shrouded in mystery and characterized as being violently corrupt and purposed for the restarting of humanity. Though the sacred Scriptures provide no explicit examples of what truly led up to the catastrophic end, my work endeavors to reimagine the roots of that era.

Lost, in the far reaches of a nearly forgotten history, the Dark Age of man's beginnings saw evil forces rage for dominance over a near-perfect world. Like the repetitive, traumatizing horrors played out in real-time, before the watchful eyes of a toddler, in front of its quarreling parents; the damage was irreversibly seared into the child's memory. From the depths of such ancient nightmarish acts a surviving people, rose to prominence. Yet, their experiences and influences saw many exploit the worst characteristics of their fellow creatures. Man's self-destructive behaviors bred an inherent evil that came as easily to him as breathing itself.

Now, with the ending of those great wars, many of Earth's most ancient races dwindled out of existence, leaving a mythic imprint, half-remembered as rumors and children's fables. Nevertheless, a remnant of those Fair Ones witnessed the beginning of Man's struggle to craft himself. It was they who came to refer to themselves as the Sons of God; it was they who made it their right and duty to share their higher knowledge from the divine with the lesser daughters of men. But in his infancy, men fell into being a manipulated slave-class; to a people they once were to hold in the highest of regards. The faded longevity of those ancient wisdoms empowered the strong-willed over the 'noisy' chaotic populace.

It is from such eclectically complex influences that I have written my arcane anthologies, and from it a hero emerged to stand apart, exemplifying hope in demanding truth and accountability from his peers and leadership. Herein lies the very encouraged struggle toward being a survivor, beyond the cataclysmic doom long prophesied to befall the world. Yet, it was one of the "daughters-in-law of Noah", the lone descendant of that Fair Hero who secretly carried with her through the flood, what proved to be the only record of
